  This workshop intends to bring together researchers in RNA computational biology, to help develop the next generation of methods to improve RNA structure prediction and to identify functional RNA elements in genomes. Some of the issues that will be discussed are: - RNA two and three dimensional structure prediction. - from RNA transcripts to function. - RNA homology searches and structural alignments. - RNA databases and RNA Ontology. A central aim of the meeting is to allow participants to do theoretical work on RNA genomics being in the same location with ample time to interact, transfer ideas, and do actual scientific research. The actual talks in the workshop will be informal yet technical, and they are intended to give impetus and dynamism to the collaborative exchange of ideas and algorithms. The meeting constitutes an unique opportunity for deepening and spreading knowledge on RNA bioinformatics.
