International Academic Conference on “Security Diplomacy: Territorial Disputes and Governance” The post-Cold War era has witnessed new transformations in the security governance in diplomacy, that is, transitions 1) from national security to shared security, 2) from traditional security to comprehensive security, and 3) from coalition security to cooperation security. The increasingly frequent security diplomatic interactions between regional states have brought about growing cross-border security threats as well as improved mutual trust and cooperation. Hence it has become a central concern to find ways to meet the challenges of the resulting territorial conflicts, cross-border security governance, and the construction of regional multilateral security mechanism based on security diplomatic practice. An International Academic Conference on “Security Diplomacy: Territorial Disputes and Governance” is scheduled to be held by the Editorial Committee of International Security Studies, University of International Relations (UIR), at Jinlongtan Hotel, Beijing, China, on Saturday, July 2, 2016, on the topics of (1) Security Diplomacy: Theory and Practice; (2) Territorial Disputes and the Construction of the International Security Order; (3) Issues in Cross-Border Security and Global Governance.
