  The goal of this multidisciplinary conference is to bring together various communities in order to discuss puzzling up-to-date questions related to the broad field of surface tension effects. This includes fundamental questions raised in microfluidics, capillary flows and wetting, droplets and drop impact, capillary forces as well as applications related to fluidic microrobotics and micromanipulation, bio-inspired micro-engineering, control of surface tension effects. The large spectrum of relevant case studies includes capillary gripping, capillary filling, capillary alignment, capillary sealing, capillary self-assembly, droplet manipulation, Leidenfrost effect… As a consequence of the high multidisciplinarity, the conference will be organized along one single session to enhance fruitful discussions on surface tension fundamentals and applications.
