The Tokyo Institute of Technology has been engaged in a national program supported by the Ministry for Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT). This program, the Inter-University Exchange Project with Russia “Nurturing leader scientists and engineers for healthcare, medical, nuclear power, and energy industries between Japan and Russia,” is based on academic exchange with the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Moscow State University (MSU), and the National Research Nuclear University MEPhl. This program has been promoted to cultivate young talent in the engineering field who will contribute to developing the industry both in Russia and Japan. Teachers and students from both countries participated in the 3rd Japan–Russia Joint Forum for Education and Research.
