The European Conference on Visual Perception is an annual meeting devoted to scientific study of human visual perception. ECVP has been held each year since 1978, and attracts a wide variety of participants from such fields as Psychology, Neuroscience and Cognitive Science. To encourage the widest possible participation, particularly among students, the meeting is held in a different European location each year. The conference is a forum for research in all areas of Vision Science, but in recent years it has also included work on interactions with auditory and tactile processing as well as more general cognitive research. Researchers come from a range of complementary disciplines that include psychology, neuroscience, pharmacology, physics, computer science and mathematics, and topics include both fundamental research as well as applied and clinical areas.Scientific organisers of the ECVP meeting in 2013 are researchers from the Center for Cognitive Sciences (ZKW) at the University of Bremen: Dr. Udo Ernst (right; Institute for Theoretical Physics), Dr. Cathleen Grimsen (left; Institute for Human Neurobiology) and Dr. Detlef Wegener (center left; Brain Research Institute). Administrative Director of the conference is Agnes Janßen (center right; Institute for Theoretical Physics).
