At present, worldwide effective use of all available remote sensing information in Earth sciences is associated with the problems of its processing and effective application, although recently this was supplemented by the problems of storing large data arrays. Nowadays the remote sensing data stock is a complex and extensive information field, containing most heterogeneous data in terms of spatial coverage and resolution. This is related both to the increasing volume of information and to the ways of selecting means and methods of processing. There are many different ways of RS data thematic interpretation, extraction and visualization, but nevertheless, it becomes more and more difficult to thematically extract and present the required information. Hundreds of satellites and UAV survey the Earth's surface hourly every day, while aerial drones help us to obtain data with centimeter resolution in the field. The use of high time series of aerospace information directly allows us to look into the past and assess changes in the environment. In the meantime, online monitoring systems and online visualization of natural and natural-anthropogenic phenomena allow us to receive and provide the most up-to-date information on a daily basis. Automated image processing and image recognition, computer vision, increased data detail, and the use of drones or drones are the present and future of modern geographic science. Key topics: - UAV applications in environmental research - Highly detailed data for environmental monitoring - Remote sensing data for agricultural land assessment - Monitoring and mapping of processes and phenomena on the basis of very high spatial resolution - High resolution data processing: techniques and algorithms - Monitoring of natural and anthropogenic objects at multiscale levels
