  This is a two-week workshop on spherical varieties. There will be 2 lecture series on the following topics: (i) Introduction to wonderful varieties. Speaker: Stephanie Cupit-Foutou (Ruhr Universitaet Bochum). (ii) Spherical homogeneous spaces. Speaker: Dmitry Timashev (Lomonosov Moscow State University). Apart from this, there will be some talks by experts and early career researchers. Lectures will be held at the Department of Mathematics, IIT Madras, as well as will be telecast in zoom. Research talks will be given at the Department of Mathematics, IIT Madras, and at Chennai Mathematical Institute.
