  The JMMCs is an important scientific event in the field of medicinal chemistry which gives the opportunity for networking of the participants coming mainly from middle European countries. The principal aims of the Meeting: dissemination of research results, training of young researchers and enhancement of transnational collaborations between scientists from academia as well as industry. In 2017 the 10th Joint Meeting on Medicinal Chemistry was organized by the Medicinal Chemistry Section of the Croatian Chemical Society and sponsored by the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry.The 10th JMMC was devoted to drug discovery advances in the major therapeutic areas, including anti-infectives, neurodegenerative diseases and oncology, as well as to various topics which covered advances in exploration of new chemical entities from nature, discovery of small molecule chemical probes, optimization of drug delivery and computational medicinal chemistry.
