  http://www.pdmi.ras.ru/EIMI/2014/PhML/index.html The conference PhML-2014 is a sequel in the series of conferences intended to provide a forum for philosophers, mathematicians, linguists, logicians, and computer scientists who share an interest in cross-disciplinary research. The success of previous conferences in the series PhML clearly reveals the need for the scientific community in a broad dialogue between representatives of sciences and humanities due to the increasing mathematization of scientific knowledge. The offensive of mathematization is manifested in constant expansion of application areas of mathematics which are penetrating today not only into natural sciences and technologies, but also into the humanities. Such an intervention of mathematics shows that “the unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics” in natural sciences noted by Wigner, is manifested also in the humanities, such as philosophy and linguistics. The conference PhML-2014 will be programmed with a special emphasis on complexity studies in different perspectives.
