1. There is still huge need of data and research to identify nature of hydromorphological change over largest rivers of Arctic region 2. Future hydrological projections for assessing fluvial response should assess both water, sediment and land use changes and their various implications (e.g. permafrost thaw) 3. The impact on the global fluxes from altered in-channel processes (due to hydroclimatic development and human impact – e.g erosion below dams) is crucial part of the future research needs.
