In our work we propose a novel scheme for the implementation of configurable quantum gates based on photonic exchange between quantum qubits residing in optically coupled cavities. The advantage of the scheme consists in an active control of the connection and photon exchange between cavities. We consider one of possible experimental realizations of appropriate fast optical switches, based on the Bragg-waveguides, which are resonant to the transition wavelength of the two-level system, and controlled by cross-phase modulation with external off-resonant field.
