BUSINESS COMMUNICATION IN THE "SLAVIC WORLD": LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL INTERFERENCE AS A CAUSE OF COMMUNICATIVE FAILURES The article deals with the actual linguistic and cultural issues associated with the effectiveness of business communication when using an intermediary language. Linguistic and cultural interference means a complete or partial discrepancy of cultural connotations, taking place at the level of concepts, associations, assessments, emotions, and norms of behavior. The article analyzes the manifestations of national communicative styles in the choice of strategies and the specific of standardized discourse in English, which is not the native language to any of the parties.
