Dynamic of hydrocarbon (HC) degradation by oil-degrading preparation “Rhoder” was tested at the State Obukhov Plant territory on sites polluted with old black oil (St.-Petersburg, Russia) and railway sludge at the station “Ruchji” (the Leningrad Region, Russia). Railway sludge containing lubricants, oil, black mineral oil, diesel fuel, non burned ashes of coal and other organic substances was situated on a cement platform near the railway station. The samples were analysed on the THC (by gravimetric, column chromatography, GC and HPLC methods), nitrogen and phosphorus (colorimetric method), pH and microorganisms. It was obtained decreasing of aliphatic HC - by 92-98 %, aromatic HC – by 64-93 %, sphaltenes – by 40-92 % as a result of three times application of the “Rhoder” and following phytoremediation on sites at the State Obukhov Plant. In railway sludge it was observed decreasing of aliphatic HC - by 93 %, aromatic HC – by 49 % but degradation of asphaltenes wasn’t observed.
