Bioremediation ability of the oil-oxidizing preparation Rhoder was tested in laboratory experiments on peaty soils polluted with black mineral oil, or lubricants, or bitumen, or crude and old oil received from Western Siberia, or on mineral soil polluted with an accidental diesel fuel (Moscow). All experiments were carried out in vessels with the size of 170mm*120mm and 135mm*35mm under room temperature with periodic watering and mixing of soils. The Rhoder was used four times each two weeks as a water suspension with number of hydrocarbon oxidizing (HCО) bacteria cells of 1,0*106 cells/ml. Two weeks after last treatment of soils with the Rhoder the toxicity of soils were checked by sowing seeds of Avena sativa and timothy grass. Obtained results showed that the Rhoder has the ability to remove hydrocarbon (HC) pollutants from soils with different efficiency. It was successful for oxidizing of black mineral oil, bitumen, crude oil, old oil and diesel fuel, but the Rhoder decreased concentration of lubricants with very low efficiency.
