The paper considers the complex of actions undertaken both by Russian Federation and Tajikistan, which helped not only to streamline migration flows, but also to find touch points of common social and economic interests of both countries. Research results are divided into three blocks: 1. Integration of statistic data on migration flows, its quantitative and qualitative analysis. 2. Analysis of legal norms worked out by both countries, its trends and developments. 3. Summarization of efforts undertaken by Tajikistan and RF to minimize negative consequences and possible harm and to utilize advantages of current situation to the benefit of both countries. The case could be considered as a good example of fruitful interregional cooperation in times when major part of European countries as well as United States of America suffer from disordered flows of migrants and refugees
