The results on the investigation of structural, magnetic and magneto-optical properties of the Co/Bi/Co and Bi/Co thin-film systems, grown by sequential magnetron sputtering of Co and Bi layers onto glass substrates at room temperature, are presented. The thickness of Co layers, tCo, was equal to 50 Å nm, and the thickness of Bi layers, tBi, in the Co/Bi/Co and Co/Bi samples was varied from 2 to 500 Å and from 5 to 70 Å, respectively. The strong influence of the Bi layer thickness on the magnetic and magneto-optical properties of the studied samples was discovered. In particular, the values of the coercivity, HC and the saturation field, HS, of the Co/Bi/Co samples were found to oscillate with changing tBi from 2 to 500 Å. This fact was explained by the existence of oscillating exchange interaction between ferromagnetic layers though Bi interlayer with tBi changing.
