This paper focuses on some multimodal aspects of media interpreting, a specific audiovisual translation technique. From the perspective of Cognitive and Translation studies the interpreted media content represent complex multimodal texts in which the various semiotic systems interact through audio and visual channels to produce a coherent meaning. Such interactions affect in different ways the rendition, having an impact on the interpreting constraints and strategies.
