The properties in solutions of cationic surfactants researched less in comparison with anionic and nonionic surfactants. The main colloidal-chemical properties of aqueous solutions you can see (at the table1) cis-di-n-butyl-(2-(5-chlorine-2-hydroxyphenyl)-2-phenylvinyl)-phenylphosphoniumchloride (SAA 1) and 1,2-ethylene-bis-(N,N-dimethylcarbdecylhydroxymethyl) ammoniumdichloride (SAA 2) [1,2]. The surface tension of liquids were determined using pendant drop tensiometry (Kruss, Germany). The high values solvent-accessible surface area for SAA1 are due to sterical hindrance. These results (Tab.1) demonstrated that these surfactants could be efficiently used as a stabilizers to form antimicrobial compositions, for example including zinc dioxide, showing the synergistic effect.
