The increased values of physicomechanical properties of binary compositions based on metallurgical slag are achieved due to by virtue of the phase and chemical composition: the active amorphous phase of calcium-aluminosilicate composition plays the main role in the interaction with liquid glass. The fuel slag is much less active due to the chemical composition differences: the amorphous phase has an aluminosilicate composition, the alkaline and alkaline earth metal oxides content does not exceed 10% in total. Fuel ash is most inert due to the high content of inert crystalline phases and the aluminosilicate composition of the amorphous phase, which has an increased chemical stability
