There are just a few remained fragments of Aristotle's lost Cypriot politeia in the excerpts of later periods. The article aims at including the disposed data into a wide historical context of late classic intellectual history in comparison with other remaining parts of the ambitious political and scientific project of the peripatetic school – composing more than 150 single politeias of different Greek poleis and making general conclusions on the common traits and rules of social and political development, which was the main aim of Aristotle’s “The Politics”. Aristotle’s interest to political structure of Cypriot city-kingdoms dates back to the Academic period of his life and was probably provoked by his friend Eudemus the Cypriot. It was the special character of the royal power in Cyprus, which should attract the attention of Stagiritus and give him material for reflections on the evolution of the monarchic rule, especially the so-called kingship of the heroic times.
