In conditions of Internetization of the society, it is important to define new opportunities for digital travel media. Increasing the speed of communication and the openness of information sources, as well as expanding the boundaries of communication, interaction in all spheres of human activity in the global media space - those opportunities without which it is difficult to imagine modern travel journalism. Within the framework of tourism activities, there are different types of contacts: international, regional, local communications, business correspondence for tourism, informal dialogues in social networks, applications and forums, etc. Thanks to digital technologies, new opportunities for the world to learn the world become the property of tourist practice, continuously renewing it, optimizing the subjective factor of civilizational development in relation to the dynamic development of the conditions of society. Modern tourist practices allow us to say that in the age of development of digital technologies the virtual social space of travel journalism is a platform for discussing socially significant topics, a virtual location for expression of public opinion and the accumulation and transfer of intellectual resources of the society. Institutions of different levels (travel agencies, airlines, information bureaus) that contribute to meeting the audience's needs for cultural, educational and tourism information, acquire official sources on the Internet, and develop functional applications for users. Modern information resources, existing in the media space of Russian journalism in the form of online applications, services, social networks, affect the effective interaction of people, and as a result, contribute to independent intellectual education. The creation of digital resources for travel journalism should be carried out taking into account the possibility of integrating diverse information of an applied nature at each level (be it an electronic travel magazine, a mobile application or a social network uniting professional journalists and travelers) into a single functional system that will allow analyzing the state and the trends of modern travel journalism, provide the audience with relevant information, receive, transmit and store data of different kinds in various formats. Digital resources of tourist destination, taking into account modern demands of the information society, help to quickly master new knowledge and apply them in practice. In the conditions of market competition, these new knowledge acquire pragmatic importance for the search for an optimal model of behavior in a foreign country, for searching information on all the subtleties of tourism. Travel today is seen as a multifaceted activity; freedom of movement, the diversity of special tourist services, applications, the availability of information in the network space - actualize the research of travel media, addressed to a mass audience.
