Quantum dot (QD) solids are a promising material for the development of solar cells. The efficiency of such devices depends strongly on the energetic disorder within QD solid due to QD size scatter and the energy diagram of the whole structure. Here, we study optical and electrical properties of QD solids made of PbS QDs of different sizes as well as QD solid with QD size gradient. Additionally, we investigate the effect of the energy disorder on the conductivity and the efficiency of the photovoltaic structures based on the above QD solids.
