In the cosmic rays laboratory of the PGI (Apatity) several detectors are gathered to a complex system to monitor the electromagnetic component of cosmic radiation. The detector of the differential gamma-ray spectrum is also included to the system. It is based on a NaI(Tl) crystal. The collecting time of one spectrum is 30 minutes, the energy range 0.2-5 MeV. The spectrometer was calibrated by known lines, like other detectors. At the present time there are huge data set of the spectra collected during several years. We processed the spectra by special methodics. Differential spectra were divided into thin 200 keV energy bands and radiation profiles are derived for each band. We compared the profiles with the other detectors data that registered the increase in gamma-radiation during precipitation. By this way we determined the energy limits of the increase events. This method can be applied to determine the energy characteristics of other variations of the gamma-radiation flux.
