The paper outlines some problems that arise in distant teaching or may accompany the integration of informational and communicational technologies in traditional teaching. Though no solution is offered, the author argues that a more productive way of tackling these problems lies in undertaking in-depth research into fundamental linguistics and psychology, rather than in devising isolated adaptations of existing teaching techniques.
