Le statut multidimensionnel de la CIUTI en fait une plate-forme unique d'échange et de soutien des projets multiples, et notamment de ceux qui visent à assurer la perennité de l’excellence en formation des T&I grâce aussi bien aux recherches en traductologie et en didactique de la traduction et de l’interprétation ainsi qu’aux efforts appliqués à la formation des formateurs. Ce dernier point me semble crucial dans le contexte où les traducteurs et les interprètes de qualité ainsi que les formateurs en T&I sont de plus en plus recherchés en fonction des impératifs géopolitiques, économiques ou culturels et des combinaisons linguistiques. La majorité des professeurs en T&I sont autodidactes - professeurs des langues qui parfois après avoir traduit un ou deux texte croient avec candeur qu’ils sont capables d’enseigner la traduction, ou professionnels en T&I qui s’orientent vers l’enseignement sans la moindre aucune notion de didactique, ni de méthodologie de la discipline - se perfectionnent par refléxions, par lecture d’ouvrages des traductologues, par leurs propres expérimentations et études en cherchant à communiquer avec les collègues plus expérimentés dans ce domaine C’est dans cet esprit qu’à l’initiative du Groupe Stratégique de la CIUTI, l’Assemblée générale réunie à Beijin en 2011 a adopté la mise en place du Groupe de travail international « Formation des formateurs en T&I ». L’objectif est de créer au sein de la CIUTI un sous-réseaux recouvrant le domaine de la didactique de la T&I Le groupe de travail a commencé ses travaux en deux sous-groupes correspondant à deux branches principales de l’activité traduisante - T&I – sous formes de seminaire à Moscou ( La coordination des activités du GT a été confiée au professeur Nikolay Garbovskiy, Directeur de l’ESTI, représentant de Université Lomonossov de Moscou et professeur Hannelore Lee-Jahnke, Présidente d’honneur de la CIUTI. En adaptant résultats à la didactique de la traduction et de l’interprétation, le groupe de travail a fait les propositions suivantes pour l’année 2012: 1. Elaborer un Guide des principes généraux de la didactique de la traduction en se basant sur le modèle didactique discutée et adoptée lors de la réunion. 2. Organiser les séminaires de formation des formateurs en exploitant ce modèle didactique : - à l’ETI à Beyrouth (Liban) du 2 au 9 mars - à l’ESTI à Moscou (Russie) du 18 au 24 juin, les modules in situ étant précédée des modules à distance. 3. Faire paraître un numéro spécial du Bulletin Scientifique de l’Université de Moscou « La théorie de la traduction » consacré à la didactique de la traduction (édition bilingue, octobre-novembre 2012) 4. Réviser le métalangage Leur activité se déroulant en forme des séminaires sur la didactique de la traduction et didactique de l’interprétation, a permis de constater la viabilité et l’importance de cette initiative. Les moyens d’interaction sont variés : des contacts en ligne, des publications collectives mais aussi des rencontres à l’occasion des colloques et des forums permettent de rafraîchir les contacts, de procéder à un véritable échange, de partager ses idées et, pourquoi pas, ses doutes.
