Transformation of pine wood under ozone impact was studied by thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermogravimetric (DTG) analysis. It was determined residual lignin content in ozonated wood. The data allow conclusion that up to ozone consumption (OC) of 1.3 mmol/go.d.w., the destruction of the lignin by ozone is the main process, and a delignification degree of 40% achieves. DTG data show that apart from delignification under ozone impact, hemicelluloses removal also occurs.
