The review of works on the use of accelerated electrons as possible alternative energy carriers in energy-intensive technologies is presented. The following directions of radiation-chemical and radiation- thermal technologies: leaching of ores of non-ferrous metals, decomposition of carbonates, the intensification of the processes of ore preparation and mineral processing, rock failure, modification of concrete, the cracking of petroleum products, waxes, lignin, processing natural gas into motor fuel, gas-phase synthesis, purification of exhaust gases of metallurgical production and thermal coal plants, radiation treatment of sewage with the purpose of disinfection, broadcasting energy to great distances, the correction of weather conditions collimated beam of high-energy electrons. The assessment of the technological state of work in each direction and shows the possibility of technical implementation of promising projects.
