We consider simulation of light scattering by arbitrary shaped particles using the Generalized Multiple Technique (GMT). To simulate the intensity of the light scattered, a set of basic functions in the GMT method is used as equivalents sources for fields representation, which are displaced from the boundary of the scatterer. The Cartesian coordinates of arbitrary shaped particles usually are computed using the implicit or the parametric equation of the particle shape. In this paper, the Cartesian coordinates of the particle shape are read from the obj file format that is generated from the SScaTT tool that implements a triangulation algorithm. Numerical results obtained using the GMT method for arbitrary shaped particles are in excellent agreement with those obtained from the T-Matrix method
