The paper presents the results of a study of different approaches to the structuring of the vehicle fleet in Russia and their impact on the final assessment of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from fuel combustion by vehicles. In this work, a comparison of three different expert scenarios for the detailed structure of the vehicle fleet for 2014 was made. They are scenario of the Joint Global Change Research Institute, USA (JGCRI; scenario of the Moscow State Automobile and Highway Technical University (MADI; and scenario of the Institute for Global Climate and Ecology, Moscow, Russia (IGCE)
