We study OSC based on novel SSO N(Ph-2T-DCN-Ph)3 and compare it with well-studied SSO N(Ph-2T-DCN-Et)3. This alkyl-free SSO with electron-withdrawing phenyldicyanovinyl groups possesses a unique combination of high solubility (up to 30 g/L in ODCB) and thermal stability (up to 490 ºC). It can form a columnar phase in the active layer of OSC increasing order in bulk heterojunction and OSC PCE. To optimize the morphology of the active layer, we used various fabrication protocols.
