It has been shown that the improvement of the properties and quality of produced and new developing steels for the automotive industry requires reliable data on the kinetics of the transformations occurring in the steel. Based on the results of studying the kinetics of the formation of Nb(C,N), Ti(C,N), and Ti4C2S2 precipitates effective approaches have been developed to significantly improve the complex of difficult-to-combine properties of various types of steels for automobile body sheet. New hardened during hot stamping and ferritic steels with a unique set of properties as well as cassette technology for the production of rolled products of various strength classes and drawing categories from IF steels of the same chemical composition have been created.
