Luminescent diamond particles are widely used as quantum emitters, biomarkers, and high-precise sensors at the nanoscale. The size of diamond particles affects the luminescence of embedded color centers [A. Zalogina et al., Nanoscale, 2018]. Here we study the fluorescence of SiV color centers embedded in submicron diamond particles. We measure the scattering spectra, the Raman response, and the excited state lifetime for diamonds of different size and shape. The scattering spectra and the Raman enhancement allows us to indicate the resonances in the hosting particles, the effect of which we observe on the excited state lifetime.
