Performed numerical experiments show that the use of neural network algorithms for the recognition of diffraction images from single macromolecular particles makes it possible to determine changes in the structure at the angstrom scale. In order to make full use of the experimental capabilities of an X-ray laser in the “single particle” measurement mode, it is necessary to develop new experimental platforms with the aim of forming partially ordered submicron-sized objects from protein structures to provide good statistics of diffraction patterns.
