Three stabilization techniques: the stabilization with modified Coulomb potential (MCP), the modified harmonic oscillator potential (MHP) and the basis set enlargement method of Hazi and Taylor (HT) were compared by calculating the lowest H– (1S) resonance state. In the case of MCP and MHP procedures the resonance parameters errors decrease along with the basis set enlargement. Furthermore, MCP technique provides the faster convergence to the exact resonance energy and width values rather than MHP one. The HT method allows of estimating the resonance energy with the good accuracy also.
