The purpose of this work was to synthesize new organoelement dendrimers of different generations (G0-4 cages, G1-8 cages, G3-32 cages and G5-128 cages) based on polyallylcarbosilane dendrimers and a boron-substituted mercapto derivative of a polyhedral carborane as models of hybrid dendrimers of “flexible core – rigid shell” type. Carborane-carbosilane dendrimers of the zero, first, third and fifth generations were obtained by hydrothiolation of the corresponding carbosilane dendrimers with 9-mercapto-m-carborane initiated by UV-irradiation (λ = 365 nm) and DMPA at room temperature in THF solution. The structures and purity of the compounds obtained were confirmed by using a set of physicochemical methods of analysis: 1H, 29Si, 13C and 11B NMR, IR spectroscopy, and gel permeation chromatography. Their properties were studied by DSC, TGA, DLS and viscometry in solution.
