The traditional construction in aviation technique is the supported cover, which for most constructions represent thin cover with stringers assembly. In this presentation, the behavior of traditional supported shell is compared with constructions of metamaterials on the base of separated shells with supporting assembly considering as an example the germospanthout of nationwide aircraft. The criterion of estimation is the assurance of necessary level of residual strength under the limit state conditions. The versions of germospanthout constructions on the base of metamaterials are considered for the comparative analysis and estimation of opportunities and efficiency of their use in aircraft constructions.
