Here we describe low concentrator c-Si solar cell design based on the following structure: lamination film (40 μm thick) / soldered Cu wires (60 μm in diameter) /In2O3:F (IFO) / (n+pp+)Cz-Si/AlOx/SiNy/Al/Cu wires/lamination film.The effect of the n+ layer sheet resistance and the IFO layer thickness on the conversion parameters of low-concentrator solar cells was investigated. The efficiency of the best cell under 1–8 suns front/rear illumination was determined to be 19.4–20.1%. Thus, the present results demonstrate that the use of TCO layers (IFO) as transparent electrodes in combination with innovative Ag-free multi-wire metallization makes it possible to obtain low concentrator solar cells from standard commercially available PERC structures.
