Two temperature regions with different concentration of elements can be observed from melting T to 1200 ° C. The first region is from T melting to 1100 ° C, the second - from 1100 to 1200 ° C. The atoms of Fe, Si, as well as oxygen in small amounts, are present in the first region in the melt surface. The formation of the Fe-Si clusters, as well as more complex atomic groups (Fe-O)x-Si, is possible in this region. The composition of surface layers is changed in the second region. The surface is formed due to the formation of Fe-B clusters, as well as (Fe-O)x-B clusters. The observed changes indicate the change in the nearest environment of atoms in the surface composition at a temperature of 1100 ° C. As a result, a new type of clusters is formed in the region above 1100 ° C. Such changes are usually interpreted as structural transformations within the liquid state. Thus, in the Fe78B13Si9 melt, jump-like changes are observed in the composition of the surface layers, associated with changes in the nearest environment of atoms and the forming of various kinds of clusters in different temperature ranges.
