A cell consisting of two differentially connected parallel arrays / parallel SQIFs was studied in detail, and conditions of high linearity voltage response to magnetic signal are resumed. Specifically, in contrast to limiting case of zero coupling inductances, the practical cell has to be based on regular parallel arrays rather than SQIFs. The cell can be used to design of Superconducting Quantum Arrays (SQA) capable of providing broadband highly linear magnetic field to voltage transfer within high dynamic range. Results of experimental evaluation of serial arrays of the cells and prototypes of SQA-based active electrically small antenna (ESA) fabricated using Nb process are reported and discussed.
