The report presents modeling and experimental studies of the physical properties of iron-rhodium compounds with different concentrations of palladium. A comprehensive analysis of the macroscopic and microscopic structural and magnetic properties made it possible to draw the most reliable conclusions. In particular, it was possible to explain the mechanism that leads to a decrease in the phase transition temperature with an increase in the concentration of palladium in the alloy. According to the studies presented in the paper, the phase transition temperature depends on the values of the magnetic moments on the atoms of iron, rhodium, palladium and on the distances between these atoms. These parameters vary with a small change in the concentration of palladium. It was possible to establish that the phase transition temperature is determined by the competition between the phonon and magnon energies by determined the correlations between these parameters [7]. However, the first-order phase transition is accompanied by phase nucleation at defects and its further growth.
