Structural features of new vanadates of the howardevansite group from the Tolbachik and Bezymyannyi volcanoes (Kamchatka, Russia)доклад на конференции

Crystal structures of two new vanadate minerals named in honour of two famous Russian mineralogists, Nikolay Ivanovich Koksharov (1818–1892) and Dmitry Pavlovich Grigoriev (1909–2003), are studied. These minerals were found in the fumarole sublimates, koksharovite at the Bezymyannyi volcano and grigorievite at the Tolbachik volcano, both Kamchatka, Russia. Koksharovite, CaMg2Fe3+4(VO4)6, and grigorievite, Cu3Fe3+2Al2(VO4)6, are structurally close to howardevansite, NaCuFe3+2(VO4)3, known only from the fumarole sublimates of the Izalco volcano, El Salvador. All three minerals could be united to form the howardevansite group.
