We report a general and efficient method for the synthesis of N-substituted о-trifluoroacetylanilines by the reaction of N-substituted isatoic anhydrides with Ruppert-Prakash reagent (CF3SiMe3). We have discovered that N-substituted isatoic anhydrides reacted with Ruppert-Prakash reagent in DMF in the presence of KF+ТBAB (tetrabutylammonium bromide) at room temperature to give N-substituted о-trifluoroacetylanilines in high yields (70 - 90%).
