In recent years, the colloquial Persian corpus has expanded drastically, the standard colloquial Persian, based on the Tehrani dialect is widely present in instant messengers, in social networks, in the dialogues in modern fiction. The increasing diversity of functional domains of colloquial Persian triggered its ever more visible presence in the Persian textbooks, so that some multimedia educational materials are limited to publishing two audio versions (official/literary and colloquial) of the same text or dialogue. Others offer texts written in spoken language. Previously, such a technique was rarely used, both in view of didactic goals, and because of the significant gap between the two forms of modern Persian at all language levels. In Persian courses in Iranian universities, at an advanced stage of learning, it is often practiced to read the text given in the official / literary language in the colloquial form. Looking for the optimal format for constant training of analysis skills and a quick understanding of the spoken language put online as a text, two groups of materials were selected as especially useful: 1) pop songs (lyrics are usually published on national video hosting and music sites), 2) Telegram-channels dedicated to traveling in Iran. Both of these make it possible to apply the Direct Motivational Currents approach, characterized by the considerable flexibility of the structure and the positive emotional mood as an important component of language learning.
