In this paper, we consider the precoding problem for wireless MIMO systems. This task is crucial for modern cellular 5G networks. The optimal precoding matrix is determined by a special hard to solve non-convex constrained optimization problem. That is why in practice heuristic algorithms for precoding are mainly used, such as Maximal-Ratio Transmission or Zero-Forcing. In this paper, we propose to find precoding matrix using optimization of spectral efficiency in special families of matrices. We are testing the proposed approach in several scenarios generated using Quadriga - an open source software for generating realistic radio channel impulse response. Our method shows monotonic improvement over heuristic methods with reasonable computation time.
