Pectin methylesterase (PME) is an ubiquitous enzyme, which is involved in the cell wall (CW) growth and development. Recently it was revealed that PME participates in gene silencing, plant virus reproduction and influences the expression of transgenes. In this work we studied the role of PME in antivirus resistance.
