An effective methodological approach for monitoring, early warning and assessment of risk and consequences of landslides and rockfalls as extreme exogenous processes is operational geoinformation modeling (geomodeling), which is based on the cartographic method and modern geoinformation and satellite technologies. The solution of full-scale tasks on hazard monitoring and assessment reasonably and promptly can be carried out only with the help of modern information-analytical systems based on spatial and temporal data transformed into electronic cartographic works and containing the results of modeling and analysis.
