Nature of the vertical distribution of clay fraction changes from texture-differentiated to equally distributed. The strongest differen-tiation is observed in soils with varying degree of podzolization and those with the second humus horizon. Equal distribution of clay fraction is observed in gray forest residually – carbonate soils. Horizontal distribution of silt fraction is conditioned by the structure of soil cover. When eluvial part of soil profile is plowed amount of silt fraction decreases. When agrogray forest residually – carbonate soil is plowed - arable horizon is enriched with the silt fraction. The mineralogical composition of fine-dispersed fractions of agrogray soil in Vladimir Opolye is represented by the complex of disordered mixed-layered smectite-hydromica formations – hydromica-smectite with the high and low amount of smectite pockets , hydromica of ditrioctahedric type ( in the amount of 85-90 % of the silt components). The amount of kaolinite and chlorite does not exceed 13%.
