Vortex-induced vibrations of an elastic circular cylinder were considered experimentally in wind tunnel. Maximum oscillation amplitude of an isolated cylinder was 0.36D (D = 6 mm is its diameter). It was shown before that placing of finite plates near a cylinder can lead to a decrease or an increase in the vibration amplitude depending on the cylinder position. In previous study for some plate with dimensions 35x2 mm the position of maximum amplification of vibration amplitude was found, and in this study, it was used to test plates with different shapes. For a rectangular plate 15x2 mm the amplitude amplification up to 55% was obtained, and for a plate 15x4 mm – up to 80%. Tests with an elliptical plate 64x6 mm were shown the amplitude increase up to 32%. In all cases, a significant increase of lock-in range was observed.
