In this report, we propose Langmuir hydrogen (tritium) dissociation method on a tungsten filament at 2000 K as a simple procedure of labeling of carbon-based nanomaterials with high specific radioactivity not only nanodiamonds, but carbon nanotubes and graphene oxide too. Based on the analysis of characteristic Raman modes of carbon nanotubes and graphene oxide, a minimal amount of structural changes to the nanomaterials due to radiolabeling was observed. The presentation will be concerned with main features of radiolabeling procedure in the relationship to carbon-based nanomaterials. The influence of the labeling conditions and the nature of tested material, including its advance preparation, on the reaction result will be discussed.
