There are large number of archival materialsof soil surveys that were undertaken in the Soviet Union in the late 20th-century. They were generalized in the form of large-scale soil maps of farms, areas and the region as a whole. The accompanying descriptions contain a large amount of information about morphological properties, soil texture, soil organic content and basic agrochemical properties. The location of the soil profiles were pointed on the soil map of scale 1:10000. These data can serve as a point of reference in assessing changes in land cover that have occurred over the last 25-30 years. Now the company Miratorg is conducting a detailed surveys of fields newly introduced in the crop rotations in the Bryansk region. We used data from these surveys to assess the extent of the dynamics of soil properties. For the area, located in the Bryansk region maps constructed by ordinary kriging according data 2016 and 1980 years were compared. The overall correlation coefficient between the maps was equal to 0.65. However, detailed analysis showed that on separate sites was a negative correlation. In other areas there was significant increase of organic content (about more than 15% of the original), despite the lack of organic fertilizer.
